# 📝 Server Rules

## Rule 1 - Player interaction, Censorship, Language, General Etiquette

* **Insulting via public chat, or private messages is not allowed. Depending on the severity, punishment can be given without a warning.**
* **Insulting, racism, sexism, discrimination, excessive swearing or any other offending comments can result in punishment. This applies in all chats, including main Discord or Official Facebook page or any related to Jellopy Server**
* **Do not use inappropriate names for your character. The same applies for your guild and its emblem, forum and discord.**
* **Do not use skills that would otherwise inhibit a player from playing the game as intended to be (Ice Wall abuse, Healing mobs, Warp Portal abuse, losing on purpose in Battleground, etc).**
* **Do not impersonate other players or GMs. You will be permanently banned.**
* **Begging for items/zeny/levels/etc, any form of begging is considered harassment and is not allowed.**
* **Lying to the staff and crying wolf will be severely punished.**
* **Advertisement of most kinds will be met with a permanent ban. One exception are your personal streaming channels and such, as long as you're an actual player.**
* **If you're being actively harassed in private even after telling them to stop it and please contact the staff and provide evidence. Such behavior is not tolerated.**

## **Rule 2 - No Cheating or Explotting**

* **Attempts to bot, cheat through third party programs or to bypass our GRF encryption will be met with an immediate and permanent ban for all accounts accessed by that IP.**
* **Exploiting and doing other things deemed against the rules by a GM will result in an insta-ban. Report all bugs/exploits to the GM team via PM Immediately. (Exploiting: Abusing a bug in the game for self gain.)**
* **Avoidance of in-game punishment will be met with even harsher punishments.**
* **Multiclienting during automated/GM-hosted events and in Battlegrounds is not allowed.**

## **Rule 3 - Account Security**

* **You, and ONLY YOU, are responsible for the security of your accounts at all times.** Choose a strong, secure password that you will not forget. We are not responsible if your items are stolen because someone guessed your password.
* **Do not share your username and password with other players.** If you decide to share your account with anyone, you take FULL responsibility for their actions and any resulting punishments for offenses they committed while using your account.
* **Never give your username/password or items to anyone claiming to be a staff member. We will never ask for this except in a Support Ticket.**
* **Triple check names, items, and amounts when trading, NPCing, upgrading, vending and/or mailing.**
* Make sure Drop Lock is checked on Inventory and Screenshot is checked on trades.
* Be cautious when trading with low level characters. When in doubt, **ask the player to use a character that is over Level 250 or Transcendent.**
* **We advise against lending items to anyone**, but if you do, weigh the risk and consider the consequences of losing the item.
  * If you lend items, have the other player say that he/she is just borrowing the items, and make sure it shows in the screenshot.
  * Remember that item theft is most commonly committed by friends and guild members.

## Real Money/External Trading

* **Do not conduct real money transactions (RMT) or trade between other servers/games. This rule applies outside the game as well and will result in a permanent ban for all players involved.**
* **Do not jokes about conducting real money transactions (RMT), players who do will find themselves permanently banned, it does not matter if a transaction did not occur.**
* **Do not attempt to sell or trade your account to another player.**

1. ***Punishments are subject to the staff's discretion. Any form of questioning after the staff has come to a resolution from either the sanctioned or a third party can result to punishment.***
2. ***The GM Team reserves the right to administer any form of punishment with just cause. This is generally done through a majority consensus on the GM team, so just obey the rule of thumb and you'll be fine.***
3. ***Rules are not limited to those written here. Just because it is not specifically mentioned does not mean it is allowed. Please use common sense.***
4. ***The following are the server rules will result in the appropriate punishment, which may or may not include a permanent ban.***
5. ***Use your brain for anything else that isn't listed here "But I didn't know about that rule!" will never be a valid excuse.***
